Rewiring the home for a smarter / faster Genius

Hi Guys,

After reading up on how you can add a master splitter and use your home phones in the same way as the old POTS Analogue setup.

I'm keen to find out the best way to rewire the home phone, I have read from overseas sites that the recommended home wiring is now Cat 5 or 6 Ethernet cable.

I have a 1940's house with a bell ringer on the wall off a relay I would guess.

If I add a master splitter where the phone comes into the house and run Cat 6 to the phone jack will that improve my connection speed.

Any and all suggestions appreciated.
