Hi I'm trying to put my Orcon NF4v into full bridge mode so I can connect up my Ubiquiti USG. Has anyone done this ? I've also got a phone line - So i don't wanna remove that functionality - I've looked on Netcomms site and followed the full bridge mode guide (below), but haven't had much success in getting it to work.... https://support.netcommwireless.com/sites/default/files/BCS-NF4V.pdf.pdfHoping someone has done a setup with the USG with this modem. Mail not arriving
I have an @orcon.net.nz address. I receive a file via e-mail every week (usually a .txt and sometimes some images) for work related stuff. This was worked flawlessly for the last 18 months. However today it didn't turn up. I contacted the sender, who duly resent it but it still didn't turn up. I then asked him to send it to my gmail address. Boom! It appeared immediately.I then tried forwarding it from gmail to my Orcon address. Nope, no show. I then tried again - then it finally appears. A test e-mail from gmail to Orcon with just "test" worked fine as well.My Orcon mailbox is not over size or over its limit, and there's no spam folder, so I'm at a loss as to where these messages have gone (and if it's affecting any other addresses). Anyone from Orcon able to shed some light on this?Thanks in advance :)

Anyone running Getflix modem setup on NF18ACV-02? Where should the smartdns details be input? No issues running the service on individual devices, just failing on modem option (which I'd prefer).Cheers all.

Hey Orcon, fix your web site
When you log on , the web site swallows the name and password but then just sits there and continues to show the name and password fields. No notice of a successful log on is shown.You have to manually click on the headings for 'my account' etc. to progress.

Hi, Does anyone else have connectivity Issues on Orcon this morning? I can't get into my work's OWA, and ANZ Internet Banking can't be reached either. Both sites work fine on mobile data [Vodafone]. Both Auckland based [and I'm in Wellington] Yes, I've rebooted router; no, nothing on Orcon's network status page...

Hi, I'm in the process of moving from MyRepublic 100/50 to Orcon Gigantic fibre. Just received an email which says: Good news - we've booked your fibre installation.You'll be connected on the morning of September <removed>, 2018. I'm assuming this means it's been booked with Chorus so I can now inform MyRepublic?

Auckland fibre outage this morning
Hi there,Our apologies if your UFB connection went down this morning - all services are now running normally. Our engineers are carrying out work overnight to help prevent this happening again. There will be a short disruption of service at around 2am for Auckland fibre customers while they undertake the work. PFSense and Orcon Fibre
Hi Everyone,This is my first post so please go easy on me ;-)I recently had Orcon fibre installed and I still can't use it, I have two options, one is to double NAT, which I don't want to do, but if I have to I will, however the high quality NetComm router provided will not allow allow NAT on port 80 as the internal config runs on that, and if I try to change it the whole thing locks up and I have to hardware reset it. Any tips on this would be good too.My preferred option, which is what I really want help with is connecting the ONT directly to PFSense, and I haven't been able to get it to go, no matter how I configure VLan 10 and PPPoE it wont connect, has anyone done this and got some notes/tips/how to that they are prepared to share with me? Orcon haven't been very helpful, and don't seem to get the idea that I don't want to use their "high quality" router, (I have an email from the support that says "why would anyone want to do that?", clearly they have a router that NATs port 80).Thanks for reading my email!Paul.

Sorry for the potentially dumb question, but i'm struggling to get UFB fiber from orcon working with a mikrotik 750GL.I understand that all that's needed is a dhcp client on vlan 10 ? I can't for the life of me get that working. HiI've been getting a few odd scam calls lately. Looking in my router log I can see the source IP/duration/numbers/etc.However there is no entry for time/date for any calls.Is there any way to pull this data? or is it that the router doesn't log this info? My router is a Netscom NF4VCheersDJ

US roaming issues with Orcon mobile
I use an Orcon mobile plan and for the first time I am travelling in Hawaii. Previously I have travelled to Australia with no problems. Under the 'data usage' option 'Mobile data' is enabled. Under the 'Mobile Networks' option 'Data Roaming' is enabled on 'All networks'. I have an 'Outside Aussie' addon running.There are two issues I have. Issue 1 is that I never have a data connection available - just the signal-strength bar graph with e small r. The second problem is that dialing local numbers whether just the local (7-digit) or full (001808<local number>) is rejected as an invalid number. Txts to and from NZ are working (and therefore it seems likely voice calls will work too) and this is the main reason for buying the addon. Issue 1 is mitigated by WIFI, issue 2 is mitigated by using my wife's phone - but this is a nuisance.

Wireless keeps dropping
My iPad keeps losing sight of my router. I'm on my PC and Fritz!box is still connected, and broadcasting wireless but my iPad can't seem it for some strange reason. When I restart my router it, once restarted it can see it for about 5-10 minutes but then losing sight of it again. Anyone know how to trouble shoot this as I have no clue. Don't know if it's the iPad being or fritz!box at fault. I've been using both of these for over a year without fault so that's why i'm not sure what's caused this to start happening today.

Orcon Broadband Speed issue
Hi All,Switched to Orcon VDSL a few weeks ago. Kids complaining that online games lagging a lot.Done some speed tests to different locations. [Within NZ 80Mb/40Mb/22...28 (down/up/ping)]. Outside NZ: [Sydney-Telstra: 1.77/1.46/43]; [Melbourne-Telstra: 1.65/1.37/55]; [LA-California Internet Solutions 1.52/5.16/172]Asked my mate, who lives across the road and a Spark customer, to run tests to same locations: [Within NZ - 52/18/10], [NZ to Sydney - 38/16/38], [NZ to LA - 33/11/167]. So: My VDSL - Ethernet speed within NZ is greater than his FIBRE - WIFI speed, but when going to outside world it drops out considerably. Talked to Orcon tech support, they can't see any issues. They asked me to run trace route, which I'm going to do tonight. Did anyone had same/similar issues before?Any advice is much appreciated.Cheers.

Internet keeps dropping
Not losing connection with my router but since midnight it has lost the ability to connect to anything three times. Resetting the router each time fixes it for a bit but then it drops again. Once again Orcon not posting anything on the trouble shooting page so thought i'd try here. I'm in Unsworth Heights area.

VDSL is this the best I can expect?
Just recently moved to a VDSL area and Signed up with Orcon. Never seem to get any higher than 18 Mbs down and 800 ks up. I've disconnected everything in the house and am connected straight to the line in. I'm only about 1km to the cabinet. Orcon do not seem too concerned when I call them, seems like its normal. Am I expecting too much? Feels like it should be faster for VDSL
